I always liked Mike Tyson, like from a distance though. But I only had a surface knowledge of him. I assumed he was just a dumb tough guy who had been a great fighter when I was a kid. Watching him here is the first time I ever saw or heard Mike Tyson as just another real human being like me. It was incredible! Now I love Mike Tyson! But not even as a fighter, just as a person and a speaker. He's very enlightened, way more than you would ever think if you never gave him a chance. He's full of these ol' chestnuts of wisdom... Every few minutes he drops solid gold on you. I just can't get enough of the guy now and I'm so glad he's got a podcast!I'm so grateful Joe had him on the show and gave me the opportunity to learn something new about a guy I was only peripherally aware of and give me a new source of inspiration and entertainment.I'm so happy about this podcast!! Haha I love it! Can't watch it enough times!
Joe, I know there's 0% chance you see this... *But could you please ask to have Mike back on or go on his podcast??*This is one of my very favorite podcasts ever. I think the hypnotism thing was a JRE exclusive too.
I thsmoked a toad Joe
Gotta love Mike Tyson🔥💙🙏🏻
Wait, that guy in red t shirt is the smug tech guy in the countdown movie right? Loved that character. He was funny af.
I like how they brought the 3rd party on the interview to help lower the awkwardness
You actually left hanging out with Tyson for your wife! Wow buddy
One of the best episodes ever! Hilarous and entertaining from the champ Iron mike tyson!
Joe Rogan : DMT MD.
Respect to Tyson, after all he went through in life, what I respect the most, the courage it takes for him to apologize to his kids for being a bad father. Taking responsibility and not blaming it on any1 else.
KANYE WEST IS AWAKE......17
tom segura wtf? his wife got bigger balls than he does..i gotta run..lmao you go forest
It's great how Mike seems genuinely interested about Rogan asking him questions n that
Facinating interview ...thank you
Incredible life, incredible individual. Great turnaround and deserving of all the best for his life. He spoke with such clarity and eloquence. And great job from Rogan on the interview as well.
This was a depressing interview. I doubt that either has encountered the peace of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. There's so much more than drugs to depend on for wisdom.
I've ALWAYS believed that Hagler threw that fight. This is the first I've ever heard someone else mention it. Maybe Joe read one of my comments...
Muhammad Ali and iron mike Tyson always my top 2.From india 🇮🇳
I thought I was the only person in the world who hasn't had a cup of coffee.
I love the guy, he is as real as you get. You’re still the “Man”.
Getting fans together would be great to uplift people but, the reality is this. Not a good idea bud. It's best to put on a safe distance virtual venue where two cleared healthy athletes can bang it out and we all tune in via t.v.
Joe is absolutely an excellent interviewer, him and Tom Bilyeu are really considered elite in my eyes when it comes to this. Hats off to them man. It does the ppl they interview a great great service. You can tell in the way the ppl that are getting interviewed open up
Mike Tyson is Broly
Mike Tyson should be president
Love this guy
How can you dislike this ?!?!
This is like the strangest and yet one of the most profound therapy sessions iv ever had lmao if Tyson can get over his massive Eid driven Ego then there’s hope for us all. A man who has learnt his lessons is a man to learn lessons from🤷♂️✌️✌️
We need a Netflix series on mike’s anecdotes
This is fuckin awesome! Lol
Well unfortunately BONES back at it.... DWI and 2 other charges
Since this episode,Psilocybin has been decriminalized in Denver and Oakland.
Every time Tyson laughed I laughed...🤣 living legend!
Imagine having to leave a conversation like this to meet your wife. Ffs man grow a pair!
These guys self medicate.....GREAT!! It"s WEAK....but who cares.
Mike is the BEST!
Mike seems so cool. A guy that has lived the dream.
Joe Rogan, the best human being ever! Compassionate and intelligent conversationalist!Look how Tyson is at ease!
Woooooowww. Opened my eyes bout the guy.
I don't want to be rude or offend the champ, but I'm having so much trouble trying to understand him. He speaks like that because of some kind of palate/tongue issue or it's just his regular way to talk? Thanks!
Tyson got to the level of fame, status and wealth and through all the turmoil and controversy lost it all...and just so happened to find another sort of wealth...the type that you can't lose. He's blessed to have had such an opportunity. Most of us aren't able to see that other side.
Mike is the greatest. He would have been the greatest heavyweight of all time had his focus not shifted
This was a highlight of 2019
Mike is a great example of humility. 😎 Love his honesty.
Hey Joe? Love The Sho Brother!!!! But Check Out The Doc. Called Tiger King On Netflix Bro!! This Shit Will Blow Your Mind... Thanks For The Content ILOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
Now I want to take psychedelics to hopefully become enlightened like Mike Tyson. Most likely never will though, those things scare me
Lmaoo I love when he gave that story about the tiger :’)
Late 80s was my teenage years too. I still remember my dad will be at home from work in the middle of the day to watch Mike's fight because of time difference here in Asia.
I live in Cardiff, Wales and we have seasons where you can actually go mushroom picking. You just need to know what to pick. I used to go a couple of times a year. Get a few hundred in a couple of hours. A few free trip. Great for when you're skint. What this guy done for boxing is immeasurable. I can't believe that idiot Wilder who cannot box, thinks he could beat him. I would give Wilder 3vrounds until he was stretchered out of the ring and that is being generous. Why bring up a fraud and a guy that fights nobodies to make his record look good to a legitimate boxer and legend. You see Wilders amazement as to what it was like to fight a legitimate fighter against Fury, imagine what it would look like when Tyson started throwing combos and uppercuts.. I could easily of seen it being 1 round. Prime Mike under Cus was unbeatable . When that crocodile guy with the hat and Don King got involved and his hunger went , that was a wrap. So sad. I couldn't see anyone stopping him. Still an absolute fucking legend. The only thing I found a bit frustrating in this podcast was Mike's heavy breathing but , hey, crack on fella.
I'd love to see the look on Joe's face if Tyson jumped up and started swinging and biting. He'd run outta there so quick!
Hey Joe, hey Mike. Conversation was great. I totally enjoyed it.
I’m glad Mike Tyson is still with us. He’s an incredible story of redemption.
Their bald shiny heads be vibin way more than their stoned minds bruv
Bro let your guest speak lol!
i used to think having a face tattoo was weird but after watching vikings I think they look pretty cool
DO NOT OPEN PANDORA BOX /
“This is all temporary and your apart of forever” fuck me im high but damn
Tyson is high
Great interview. Nice work.
“You know when you’re a kid and your mom gives you liquor and weed to see if you go to sleep?” He Literally thought this happened everywhere. So sad. Mikes a great guy, especially given his circumstances.
Tixe 100 well good for you! That’s awesome. Sometimes people just need a little bit of compassion and it could change their entire life.
Paidinfull• I used to work with boys around 15-18 in a residential treatment center near Chicago-lots of kids with rough backgrounds, but they were still young enough to need an influence in their chaotic lives. And being 25, I found that I was that influence they needed. I grew up right along with them during those 7 or 8 years. I always think of the kids that never get even that chance. And what’s being lost.
22:13that dead silence and stare mike does im not gonna lie scares me a little lol
Really Joe? He destroyed Conor? What fight did you watch? Because the fight I watched, he was afraid to stand up and fight Conor, and layed on top of him the whole first round. The guy is a douche.
His brain fucked up with tooo many puches
Like to Bring back Mike Tyson on the podcast !!
Just because you are born into poverty and hard times doesn't mean your a tougher person or a stronger fighter. Just because Tysons son was raised with a silver spoon doesn't mean he lacks the talent or could be be as good as his dad was. This is a big misconception.
Best boxer of several generations if not all time
6:01 in the early 1990’s, i saw Mike Tyson at a music store...once he noticed i was walking towards him, he screamed “GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!” at the top of his lungs...I walked right out the music store
GOTTA love Mike! His capacity for self-reflection may be the greatest gift Cus D'Amato--boxing's great psychologist--ever left him and he's come out of a lot of hairy experiences a fully-realized human being. No excuses--but also no apologies. He's a uniquely American character in a lot of ways.
Tiger Woods handled that level of fame...for a quite a while. Then he didn't. REALLY didn't! The advantage he probably had (while it lasted) was that he was being prepared for being the greatest thing since sliced bread from the age of 2. At the same time, it's probably not impossible to imagine that the death of his dad had a lot to do with his running wild after all those years of holding back.
Day after he beat Bruno me n pops waiting for elevator to open MGM grand vegas 4amish so we could go up in our room it opens and iron mike came out w his entourage nicest guy ever he shook both our hands 🤝
amazing how tyson feels about what we only know about him.i love who mike tyson has become.youre a good man Mr Tysonu will be on top for us fans forever 🥊
This gonna happen again?
Joe's a great interviewer, respectful and engaging. He really put Mike at ease and brings out the best in him. A fascinating and enjoyable episode.
Yeah. Unlike a lot of interviewers and reporters who just try to bring out the worst
I love how Mike Tyson is so open. The most honest person, funny as hell and humble as hell.
I just started detoxing myself yesterday off heroin and hearing mike talk about being off drugs and all of that type of shit really helps me out alot!
Keep it up bro, you got this
@matthew masters thanks bro... I hate being addicted to crap but oh well. Gotta just fight it everyday. Mike Tyson is an inspiration to me too
@Omar JR yeah no problem just be strong man you can do it. That's when I realized with everything mike has dealt with in life if he dont need the drugs I dont. I mean I got tired of living that life also had alot to do with it.
@matthew masters damn ,ok bro. Thanks i was very curious. Good luck man
@Omar JR also u cant mess with the people involved in it I ignored everybody hittin me up for 4 days just started hittin ppl back to let them know it ain't personal but I just have to do it.
Bro, I come back to this video every time. I love this shit! So real, so raw. Tyson inspired me when I was growing up in the hood. Got into boxing as a kid because of this man. Boxing kept me out of jail. Mike is such a humble dude. Damn good interview! Bravo!
