The media has been lying LONG before Trump got into office. They act so innocent. "Oh look at us, we're so honorable, we're so truthful, blah blah blah." They're just mad because Trump has let the whole world know how fake the media is. They want us asleep so they can keep lying to us.

When the Press is labelling Trump “Hitler”, it is out of love. When Trump labels the media “Fake News” it is Violent. this is the best interpretation of the media. They are not getting it. The American public distrusted the media far before Trump. Trump just galvanised that distrust and legitimised it. These guys totally know they’ve been peddling false gossip. Now, all of a sudden, they are so hurt. Well, boo hoo, get honest, or “learn to code” instead.

I don't know what vanity fair is like but I find the US press to be crazy. Lot's of fake news or bias. I knew this way before trump came along. The real problem for the news is that with the internet people have more access to information and can fact check their stories.

It's difficult reporting on Trump because your corporate masters have you all on leashes. As we can see they are loosening their grip because in about 6 months the economy is going to tank. The Russian Ace in the Hole ticket pick, Mr. Pency Pants has his instructions and is eagerly awaiting Trump's fall. Your job now is to help speed Trump's decline. And now that the tax cuts and bank regulations have been taken care of, it will magically become much easier to report on Trump.

In response to Dean Baquet, Executive Editor of The New York Times:
Oh yeah that's it, Donald Trump is just sooooooooo hard to report on. His lies are just soooo hard to point out factually that you have to make up fake controversies. It isn't simply that you intentionally report dishonestly, as dictated by what sells papers fastest. The problem is you people make it too easy for buffoons like Trump to make themselves look good by criticising you. The source of the problem isn't Trump, it's you. It's not just Trump that hates you, it's most of America.

As Alfred said to Bruce Wayne in the movie "The Dark Knight", with all due respect to the opinions in this piece.
This is a man that the press, the voters (for Trump or anti-Trump), the markets and other world leaders do not fully understand.
Bruce Wayne: [watching the tape the Joker broadcast on the news] ...I knew the mob wouldn't go down without a fight,
but this is different they crossed the line.
Alfred: ... And in their desperation they (Trump voters) turned to a man they didn't fully understand.
Bruce Wayne: Criminals aren't complicated, Alfred. We just need to figure out what he's after.
Alfred: With all due respect, Master Wayne, perhaps this is a man that you don't fully understand. When I was in Burma,
a long time ago, my friends and I were working for the local government. They were trying to buy the loyalty of tribal leaders
by bribing them with precious stones. But their caravans were being raided in a forest north of Rangoon by a bandit.
So we started looking for the stones. But after six months, we couldn't find anyone who had traded with him.
One day I found a child playing with a ruby the size of a tangerine. The bandit had been throwing the stones away.
Bruce Wayne: Then why steal them (why did Trump run for president)?
Alfred: Because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.

The press need to stop using the trump name in their reporting. Simply refer to trump as ‘the president’. He likes to see his name in the papers. Good or bad, his name is his brand.
Also, out other stories on the front page. Or, it it involves ‘the president’, talk about as much as possible on the front page without referring to ‘the president’ until an inside page. Refer to ‘the White House’, the ‘first family’, refer to other politicians by name but not trump.
That will sap his power. It will enrage him even further. It will send him over the edge and initiate something atrocious which his administration will halt. It will also give Congress more reason to force the 25th Amendment or launch impeachment proceedings.

The media needs to recognize that Trump's inaccuracies, false statements, lies, attacks on the media, and accusations of "fake news" are not simply the rantings of an out-of-control personality. They are part of a strategy to discredit every other source of information in the country, deliberately sow confusion, and by virtue of the power of the office of the presidency supercede the role of the press as a "voice of the people" and ensconce himself as a populist arbiter of "truth". In the language of Alex Jones, in other words, it's an info war. If enough willfully ignorant people support Trump, they will have achieved their Orwellian dystopia. This is not a time to lament or wring hands. It is a time to expose FACTS that cannot be dismissed, facts that inescapably show our reality show president to be a fraud.

"Trump is “factually challenged." The use of euphemisms is part of the problem. I think Lawrence O'Donnell was the first to use the words lie/liar regarding Trump, and even that took too long. Americans, Trump supporters in particular are not an especially smart bunch, and they aren't good regulating their emotions, but one wonders, had reporters done a better job of calling a lie a lie, immediately refuting/rebutting a lie with evidence and not letting a lie go unchallenged if that would have made any difference.

Remember all of the coverage he received during his campaign? His appalling attacks against established information channels was replayed on the nightly news. How different this would have been had the news outlets put away their cameras and left those conventions when he was threatening the reporters. Unfortunately, by drawing our attention to this maniac and his spit soaked tirades, the most vulnerable and ignorant in this country got a chance to take a whack at the rest of us. Yeah, it's a miserable situation.....but take the credit for your involvement. Love the legitimacy of you guys, but don't underestimate your own collusion in this fiasco.

Yes, Megs, the MOST VULNERABLE !!! Those who have a limited scope of comprehension and only understand simple phrases, and are likely to believe easy to understand stories. So they are vulnerable to get hurt if they act (=vote) on easy to understand stories that are false and they cannot see cause and effect (loss of job/wages/etc.) of those false stories.

What these folks are saying is that they are puppets. They are used to be fed what to say. Trump is not
feeding them. They have to investigate. They have to go out and interview. They have to read and study.
That is why the MSM is turning out to be garbage. Fortunately for them, the CIA is now feeding them.
They get their 4 am CIA drop every day. THE PRESS IS GARBAGE PLAYING THE VICTIM.
